FAQ

The IJMC (International Jet Model Committee) was founded in 1985 by model pilots for model pilots and has set itself the goal of promoting the flying of jet scale models internationally. It is important to the IJMC to have a worldwide network of model pilots who meet at regular intervals for an internationally recognized competition, the Jet World Masters, and to take part in a competition that is independent of an association.

Ideally, a country that is a member of the IJMC approaches the IJMC Board and expresses interest in hosting a JWM. So far, 14 JWMs have been organized worldwide in a regular cycle of 2 years. The respective country prepares a presentation of the infrastructural conditions and the motivation to organize such an event in an AGM (Annual General Meeting) and thus presents itself to the members. The members of the AGM then vote on the proposal and confidently place the organization of the next JWM in the hands of the respective organization committee from the interested country. The IJMC Board then supports the organization of the respective country in word and deed in order to incorporate the experience gained to date into the organization.

The IJMC was founded in 1985 by model pilots for model pilots. It was and still is important to the founding fathers to be independent of association constraints in order to give all interested countries and members the opportunity to be and become full members of the IJMC. The IJMC Board is elected exclusively by the AGM and is recruited from the country representatives of the respective member countries. The independence has all the advantages of a self-organized and open association of equal interests of all jet scale pilots. The guidelines and conditions of participation are therefore optimally adapted to the needs of jet scale pilots and can be changed at any time by a majority vote of the members of the AGM.
