With sadness we received the news that after a short sickbed, our IJMC secretary Bill Grimsley has died on Sep.18 2021.

Bill devoted his live to his family, and (model)aviation.

Bill was part of the IJMC community since day 1. As a competitor, since 2001 as IJMC judge, and for many years as IJMC secretary.

With Bill's passing we loose a friend, a proud Scotsman, a friendly man with great sense of humor, a motivator to many.

Bill was active still in countless clubs and associations, to forward the RC hobby and to get new people, especially the youth, involved.

For this he would spend his summers traveling the UK with his beloved wife Sybelle, visiting events, join meetings, meet people, enjoying model planes and kindred spirits.

Bill was an inspiration for many, either to join our hobby, or to advance in it.

Bill and Sybelle traveled the world to be part of the Jet World Masters family.

With Bill's passing, we, the IJMC family, loose a dear friend, and an enthusiast member. Now Bill is on his final trip, to fly his model planes forever.
